Tips For Your Tan
- Shower & Shave before your session
  • Clients should exfoliate thoroughly the day before or on the day of tanning.
  • Shaving and preparation of the bikini line should be done the day before that
way you give  the pores time to close.
  • Deodorant and perfume should be avoided on the tanning day since they
    react with the tanning solution.
(Don’t worry, if you’re coming from work and must wear make-up, and/or deodorant we
have supplies to take them off.)

- What to wear when your tanning
Many of our clients opt for no tan lines so they can enjoy a true full body golden tan.
We understand this is a sensitive issue so please keep in mind that we are
professionals and treat our clients in that manor. If this is uncomfortable for you, we
can supply you with disposable under garments or you can use a bathing suit of your
choice.
Your overall comfort is our main concern.

The solution washes out of most clothing very easily, but tends to stain light nylon, silk
and other light synthetic materials.

- What to wear After Tanning
  • Wear dark; loose fitting clothes and shoes (sandals, thongs). It’s best to wear
    cotton.
  • If your car has light colored interior, bring a towel to place over the seat.
  • If it’s raining, bring an umbrella.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
The day of your session should be considered a "transition day" because the TRUE
RESULTS will not be evident until AFTER you shower (preferably 6-8 hrs after your
session).  Please note the DHA solution has an added bronzer that will give you an
instant bronzed look - however, because the bronzer is a make-up it can have a
tendency to crease in certain areas where you sweat; underarms, under breasts.
Please note the creasing is caused by the gathering of the make-up bronzer and is
NORMAL and will not effect the outcome of your tan.

After Tan Care:

  • We recommend that you wait 4-6 hours before showering or working out. During
this period the DHA is interacting with your skin - wetting your skin will decrease
    the tanning effect.
  • When you shower, you'll notice a brown layer washing off - this is not your tan,
but a thin bronzing layer that is meant to come off. Your actual tan is a result of
the DHA interacting with your skin and will keep darkening for 24 hours.
  • Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize
  • Use a quality moisturizer at least once daily. We have a Moisturizer / Extender
available that has a 4.5% active DHA additive in it to extend the life of your tan.
By using our tan extending products your tan will look incredible and the tan
could last up to 14 days. It also will even out your tan so it will fade even more
    natural.

WE HAVE FOUND THAT SOME OF THE PRODUCTS LISTED BELOW CAN MAKE
YOUR TAN FADE FASTER!
TO KEEP A LONGER LASTING TAN PLEASE AVOID THE FOLLOWING:
  • Some users have found that Dove soap, and Dove Shower gel will fade a tan
    faster.
  • Mineral oil and petroleum-based lotions should be avoided, such as Curel
(please read the labels before applying)
  • Baby oil should also be avoided.
  • Hair Inhibiting Lotions (jergens etc.) tend to make a sunless tan yellow.
  • Anti-aging products that "renew" "refresh" or otherwise exfoliate skin
  • AHA's (Alpha Hydroxy Acids -glycolic, lactic, Malic, citric and Tartaric acids)
  • BHA's (Beta Hydroxy Acids-salicylic acid)
  • Retin-A type products (Retin-A, Renova, Tazorac, Tretinoin)
  • Toners containing Alcohols or Witch Hazel
  • Anti-acne products that exfoliate the skin- Accutane, salicylic acid
  • Makeup remover cleaning products, or oils used to clean away eye makeup
  • Use of a loofa, scrub mitt etc. for daily washing. (You need a soft washcloth or
    "soft poof)
  • Facial masks and exfoliating scrubs
  • Biore type adhesive facial strips
  • Wax hair removal
  • Depilatory hair removal products (Nair, Veet, Neet etc)
  • Shaving exfoliates skin so fades tan (use a sharp clean razor, with a lubricating
product, Hair conditioner works nicely, and usually wont "damage tan") Wash off
conditioner when done. A dull razor scrapes off more skin and "tan"
  • Pat dry in the shower, do not rub.
  • Long hot baths, long dips in a pool, or salt water can cause your tan to fade
    faster.

Please Be Aware:
  • A women's tan may also develop differently during various hormonal changes
(ovulation, menstruation, pregnancy). It may be streaky, patchy, fade worse, or
    produce lighter color
  • People with oily skin tend to develop a lighter tan then people with dry skin. The
oils can coat the skin, dry skin absorbs more product faster.

Please remember that everyone's skin type is different. The above products may not
harm your tan at all, where as it may make someones else's fade faster
